MCC Counseling 2023: MCC All India Quota MBBS, BDS, and B.Sc Nursing 2023 second round counseling has started. The seat matrix has been released, and the preference filling will continue till August 15, 2023.

MCC Counseling 2023: Round 2 Seat Matrix Released

The seat matrix outlines the number of seats available for MBBS, BDS and BSc Nursing in terms of apparent vacancies and virtual vacancies for the second round of counselling. MCC unveiled All India Quota MBBS and BDS Seat Matrix on its official portal on Thursday afternoon. All India Online Second Round Counseling is also started by MCC.

Parijat Mishra, a career counseling expert, points out that the online second round is classified by the clear vacant seat matrix. It has 6390 MBBS seats in public sector medical colleges and 619 BDS seats in dental colleges. This includes 356 MBBS seats in AIIMS and 2652 MBBS seats in deemed sector medical colleges with an additional 756 MBBS seats under NRI quota. Further, it covers 895 BDS seats in deemed sector dental colleges and additional 89 seats under NRI quota. The counseling process will also fill up 22 MBBS and 19 dental seats under the clear vacant seats of Delhi University internal quota as well as 12 MBBS and 30 dental seats in Indraprastha University.

Banaras Hindu University offers 9 MBBS and 54 Dental seats, while Aligarh Muslim University offers 26 MBBS and 12 Dental seats. JIPMER has 50 MBBS seats at its Pondicherry and Karaikal campuses, including 40 all-India quota seats and 10 local in-house MBBS seats. Similarly, 65 MBBS seats in ESIC Medical College, designated for children of ESIC card holders, will be filled through this counselling, along with 447 seats for BSc Nursing Hons.

Additionally, the matrix of virtual vacant seats has also been released. It displays the first round seats which the joining candidates have expressed their intention to upgrade to the second round, which they can view while filling the choice.

Mishra explained that, along with the seat matrix, the process of filling the preferences has started and will continue from August 10 to August 15. While selecting their preferred choices, students should also consider the respective college fees. Remember to lock the preferences only after filling all the preferences carefully, as submitted preferences cannot be changed Choice filling can be locked by students till August 15. If the preferences are not locked by 11:55 PM on August 15, 2023, all preferences will automatically be locked. The seat allotment information for the second round will be released on August 18, 2023 and candidates can also get and print the online allotment letter. After receiving the allotment, the students have to report to the allotted medical college between August 20 to August 28, 2023 along with their original certificates. Along with the original certificate, two sets of self-attested photocopies and requisite fee must also be submitted.
